This study focused on creating an analytic assessment rubric specifically for a consecutive interpreting course within an Iranian academic setting. The development process involved steps like data preparation, selection, and refinement. Performance criteria were divided into three categories: content, form, and delivery. Statistical analysis confirmed that the newly developed rubric is a valid tool for assessing consecutive interpreting in this context, offering novice trainers a more objective and systematic assessment method.

A Rasch-based Validation of the Evaluation Rubric for Consecutive Interpreting Performance
This study aimed to create and validate a rubric for evaluating consecutive interpreting performance. Initially, researchers conducted interviews with interpreting experts and teachers to identify key assessment factors. Based on these insights, they designed a checklist with 38 items. Using Rasch Measurement, they refined this list to 25 items. Rubric is in Appendix B.
Assessing EFL Learner’s Consecutive Interpreting Skills
This study aims to gauge the interpreting skills of EFL learners by administering an interpreting test to 40 randomly selected graduate students from the Uqlat Asoqour Faculty of Arts at Qassim University. The evaluation utilized a rubric measuring twelve interpreting skills on a six-point scale. The rubric can be found in the Appendix.
