Excited to share an upcoming event hosted by the UCL Centre for Translation Studies (CenTraS)! The APTIS25 Online Conference, titled “Better Together: How can industry and academia collaborate to empower future language professionals?“, will take place via Zoom on November 3–4, 2025.

This global event brings together educators, researchers, and industry professionals to explore how stronger academia-industry partnerships can better prepare the next generation of translators and interpreters. Topics will include professional wellbeing, resilience, ethics, emerging technologies, and sustainable practices in language services.

Submissions are now open! If your work bridges academic and professional worlds, this is a great opportunity to showcase collaborative approaches and share insights that help shape the future of our field.

Mission Statement

“The mission of the ATA’s Educators Division is to enhance the educational experience of translation and interpreting students by offering educators and trainers a platform to share knowledge, experience, and resources, and helping each other in becoming better instructors. ATA’s Educators Division emphasizes inclusiveness by connecting instructors of translation and interpreting at all different levels and language combinations, and it heavily depends on the collegiality of its members to fulfill its mission.”
